my name is aliver. i am 8. my mom says im not alowed to watch you tv shows becase some shows they don't have pants on. i tell mom that big bird is a bird thats why he cant have them on but mom dont hear me. can you plese email me a letter telling my mom that its ok. she said if you do i can watch it and if you not its becase you no its bad. thank you

Big Bird, Elmo and many of the other characters on Sesame Street don't need to wear clothes because they are birds or monsters. They have feathers or fur instead of clothes. Sometimes they enjoy dressing up in clothes during playtime, but they don't need them. Human characters and characters without feathers or fur, like Ernie and Bert, wear clothes.
